The Maldivian ocean at night is home to a stunning natural phenomenon. As you stroll along the shore, you may notice a bluish glow resembling millions of stars. This magical effect is created by microorganisms that release light energy when they come into contact with waves. From July to the end of the year, especially during the new moon, this wonder can be observed almost every night. I was fortunate to witness this enchantment at Soneva Fushi in August. An unforgettable spectacle that, unfortunately, is difficult to capture without professional equipment.
